What are you thinking about, Baby G? You look tired, comfortable, and bored all at the same time...LOVE the hand up on your cheek and the crossed ankles!
On a closer look, Gabriel, this is more of a model pose that isn't quite at your most flattering angle...
We went out to a family-friendly Mexican restaurant with some friends on Gabriel's birthday. We had a great time at dinner, especially playing on all the cool toys on the restaurant porch beforehand.
G-man doesn't look too enthused about dinner in this picture. Too bad this was the only picture of just him and his momma that we took that night.
No pants, a sweatshirt, and sunglasses in December? How does this kid make THAT work so beautifully for him?
Hanging out with our friend and neighbor, John. John lent us his Man Muscles yet again this morning to help move the item below...
Our new 60" flat screen TV.
To make a long story short, some incredibly generous friends of ours gave us this 5-year-old TV when the bulb on this one went out. Michael spent a little money buying and installing a new bulb, and--Voila!--we've entered the ranks of the world's Very Large TV Owners. I've had mixed feelings about owning a Very Large TV, but more on that in another post. :) Michael and I both really enjoy watching movies and having people over, and our new TV will make it more fun to have people over for movie nights and football games, for example. We are actually having a bunch of people over in a few weeks for the Cotton Bowl (Texas A&M vs. LSU!), and it will be a blast to have this big TV then. :)
Our "new" living room.
We decided a few days ago to buy an area rug for our living room, and coincidentally we ended up putting the TV and the rug in on the same day today. I was excited that the new TV fit perfectly on top of the bottom part of our existing entertainment center, which has these fantastic cabinets that fit toys, DVD player gear, diapers and wipes, movies, etc. The TV is also the exact height of the top part of the entertainment center, so we didn't have to re-hang the pictures on the wall above it. And the rug looks beautiful and really makes the room look more put together and "grown up."
